In Loving Memory

Lois Clark Tomplait
April 20, 1948 — July 6, 2026
Lois Tomplait, née Clark, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed peacefully from this life on July 6, 2026, after a valiant battle with cancer. Born on April 20, 1948, in Fields, Louisiana, Lois was the cherished daughter of Ivy and Lovey Ann Clark, who instilled in her a deep love for family, community, and the beauty of nature.
Lois spent her early years in Fields, where she developed lifelong friendships and a passion for gardening. Her love for nurturing plants was evident in the vibrant blooms and lush greenery that adorned her home. Graduating from Hyatt High School in 1966, Lois carried her small-town values and warmth throughout her life, leaving an indelible impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Lois's life was a tapestry woven with love and resilience. She was predeceased by her parents, Ivy and Lovey Ann Clark; her devoted husband, Don Tomplait; her former husband and father of her children, Frank Williams Sr.; her brothers Paul, TJ, Lonnie, Leon, Harold, and Jesse Clark; her sisters Loanie Clark and Waverly LeBleu; and her daughter-in-law, Tiffany Williams. Despite these profound losses, Lois's spirit remained unbroken, finding strength and joy in her family and friends.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Stephanie Howell, and her husband, Mike; her sons, Frank Williams Jr. and his wife, Angie, and Sherwin Williams; her sisters, Bonnie Henderson, Lorine Sanders, and Flois Rainwater; and her brother, George Clark. Lois was a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren and a doting great-grandmother to thirteen great-grandchildren. Her family was her greatest pride, and she delighted in their achievements and milestones, always ready with words of encouragement and love.
Lois's heart was as expansive as her garden, and her home was a haven for friends, family, and neighbors. Her laughter and kindness echoed in the hearts of those she touched, and her legacy of love will continue to blossom in the lives she nurtured.
A service to honor and celebrate Lois's life will be held on July 24, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Kirbyville Methodist Church, located at 105 W Main St, Kirbyville, TX 75956. Family and friends are invited to gather and share in the remembrance of a life beautifully lived and deeply loved.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in memory of Lois to the American Cancer Society - Breast Cancer Fund, an organization close to her heart.
Lois Tomplait's gentle spirit, unwavering love, and enduring strength will be missed by all who knew her. Her legacy will forever be a testament to the power of love, family, and resilience.
