Lofton Deal

February 5, 1942 — February 14, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lofton Deal, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who left this world peacefully on February 14, 2026, at the age of 84. Lofton's journey began on February 5, 1942, in the charming town of Winter Garden, Florida, born to the late Ewell and Mamie Deal. His life was a tapestry woven with love, adventure, and service. Lofton was a proud graduate of Winter Haven High School, where he forged friendships that lasted a lifetime. It was during these formative years that he developed an unwavering sense of duty and patriotism, which led him to bravely serve his country in the U.S. Navy. His time in the Navy not only showcased his dedication but also instilled in him a profound respect for the values of honor and integrity, which he carried throughout his life. A man of many talents and skills, Lofton found his calling in the fields of maintenance and carpentry. With nimble hands and a patient heart, he crafted not only objects of utility but also pieces of art, leaving a tangible legacy that his family and friends will cherish forever. He was known for his ability to fix anything and everything, and he took immense pride in his work, always approaching each task with diligence and precision. Beyond his professional life, Lofton was a man of diverse passions. He found freedom on the open road, riding his cherished Harley-Davidson motorcycle, feeling the wind against his face and the road beneath his wheels. His love for adventure also took him beneath the waves, where he explored the serene depths of the ocean through scuba diving, marveling at the beauty of the underwater world. Lofton's greatest joy was his family, who were the center of his universe. He was a devoted father to his daughters, Debra (Donny) Talbot, Leah (Dino) Naber, and Michelle Moore, and his son, Joseph (Regina). His love and guidance were constants in their lives, as were the countless moments filled with laughter and love. Lofton was also blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him endless pride and joy. He is survived by his siblings, sisters Tinky Abercrombie and Sue Dunaway, and brother Robert, each of whom held a special place in his heart. Though he is predeceased by his sister Betty, brother Leroy, and son Danny, their memories live on, cherished by all who knew them. The family invites all who knew and loved Lofton to celebrate his life at a service on February 21, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Lake Parker Park. It will be a time to share stories, remember the good times, and honor a man whose life was rich with love, laughter, and kindness. As we bid farewell to Lofton, we do so with heavy hearts but also with gratitude for the time we shared with him. He has left an indelible mark on our hearts and lives on in the stories we tell and the memories we cherish. Rest in peace, dear Lofton, knowing that you are loved beyond measure and will be missed deeply.
