In Loving Memory

Lloyd Dee Baldwin
June 16, 1959 — March 15, 2026
In loving memory, we celebrate the life of Lloyd Dee Baldwin, affectionately known as Dee, who passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026, due to pneumonia. Dee was born on June 16, 1959, in Nürnberg, Germany, to the late retired Army SGM Donald Baldwin and Elizabeth Baldwin (Vardeman). His journey on this earth was one of adventure, dedication, and love, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Dee's life was a tapestry woven with rich experiences and cherished relationships. As the son of an Army family, he spent his formative years traveling across the globe, attending numerous schools before graduating from Waynesville High School in Waynesville, MO. Despite having only a high school diploma, Dee possessed a formidable intellect and was never shy about asserting his status as the "smartest man in the room."
In 1979, Dee embarked on a lifelong partnership with Nanina I Weimer, whom he married on May 31st in Copenhagen, Denmark. Together, they built a life filled with nearly 47 years of love, laughter, and shared adventures. Dee's unwavering devotion to his family was evident in every aspect of his life, particularly in his pride and joy for his daughter Amber AJ Marshall, her husband Ryan, and his beloved grandchildren, Vann and Allura Marshall.
A proud veteran, Dee dedicated 24 years of his life to the United States Air Force, serving with distinction in finance and retiring as a Master Sergeant. His military career took him around the world, instilling in him a profound sense of duty and honor. Following his military service, Dee continued to lend his expertise as a DEAMS Deployment and Training SME Consultant with Kearney & Co., where he worked for 15 years before retiring in 2025.
Dee was a man of many passions. He found joy in the thrill of NASCAR, the tranquility of fishing, and the camaraderie of cheering for the Denver Broncos. However, it was his grandchildren who truly captured his heart, and he cherished every moment spent with them. He was known for his quick wit, mono tone voice, and his unique ability to make airmen cry with his words. Dee had a set of catchphrases that became his signature, such as "Welcome to my world these are my rules, and you're just a player!" and "YOGI CHOGI -Thank you bye-bye have a good day."
Dee is survived by his devoted wife, Nanina; his daughter Amber and her husband Ryan; his cherished grandchildren, Vann and Allura; his brother Tracy Baldwin; his sister Lynn Davis; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, SGM Donald and Elizabeth Baldwin.
A service to honor and celebrate Dee's life will be held on March 20, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Buckley Air Space Base Chapel, located at 16401 E. A Basin Ave, bldg 316, Aurora, CO 80011. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Advent Health Hospital and Hospice for their exceptional and compassionate care during Dee's final days.
In Dee's own words, "However, (comma)" life was meant to be lived by one's own rules, and he did just that, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Dee will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
