In Loving Memory

Lloyd Allen Heneveld, Jr
April 8, 1953 — September 19, 2026
Lloyd Allen Heneveld, Jr., a devoted husband, father, and respected professional, peacefully passed away on September 19, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, leadership, and dedication. Born on April 8, 1953, in Alexandria, VA, Allen was the treasured son of Lloyd Allen Heneveld and June Marie Hyler. He was predeceased by his beloved parents, Lloyd and Maria Heneveld.
Allen led a life enriched by education and professional success. He graduated from Forest Hills High School in 1971 and continued his academic journey at Hope College, earning his degree in 1975. His thirst for knowledge took him to Duke Graduate School of Business, where he graduated in 1977, and later to George Washington Law School. These accomplishments laid the foundation for a distinguished career in both the business and legal realms. Allen held influential roles such as CFO, COO, and CEO in the business sector, and ran his own solo practice in the legal field, specializing in business law, estates and trust, and probate.
On March 26, 1994, Allen married the love of his life, Nina Matic, with whom he shared 32 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they nurtured a loving family that includes their cherished children, Grace, Luke, Adam, and Hope. Allen was a man whose life was deeply rooted in his faith, serving as a devoted servant of Christ. His personal qualities — devotion, integrity, and kindness — were evident to all who knew him.
Outside of his professional and family life, Allen found great joy in his hobbies. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and golfer, pursuits that allowed him to relish the beauty of nature and the company of friends and family.
A service to honor and celebrate Allen's life will be held on October 16, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Calvary Church of Grand Rapids, located at 707 East Beltline. Friends and family are invited to gather and pay their respects to a man who touched many lives with his warmth and wisdom.
