Lloyd Marchel
February 16, 1952 — May 3, 2026
Lloyd Marchel, a cherished husband, father, brother, and friend, peacefully departed this life on May 3, 2026, at Angels Grace Hospice, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on February 16, 1952, in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, Lloyd was the beloved son of Eugene and Agnes Marchel, both of whom predeceased him.
Lloyd's life was a tapestry of dedication, warmth, and quiet strength. He was a proud graduate of Waupaca High School, Class of 1971, and went on to earn his degree in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh in 1975. His career spanned 33 years with The Hartford Insurance Company, where he was known for his professionalism and commitment.
In 1982, Lloyd married the love of his life, Kay, with whom he shared 44 beautiful years. Together, they built a family rooted in love and mutual respect. Lloyd was a devoted father to his son, Lance, who carries forward his father's legacy of kindness and integrity.
Lloyd was a man of few words, but his actions spoke volumes. He was a quiet, easy-going, and reserved individual, whose presence brought calm and reassurance to those around him. He found solace in the great outdoors, particularly in hunting and fishing. Never one to miss an opening day, Lloyd's love for nature was as steadfast as his passion for sports. He was an ardent supporter of the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Bucks, and Brewers, often cheering them on with his family by his side.
Lloyd is survived by his loving wife, Kay; his son, Lance; his sisters, Sally Handrich and Conny (James) Parsons; and numerous nieces and nephews who will forever cherish the moments spent with their gentle uncle. His family was his pride and joy, and his love for them was evident in every aspect of his life.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Lloyd's memory to a charity of your choice, honoring his spirit of generosity and compassion.
Lloyd Marchel's life was a testament to the quiet beauty of a life well-lived. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit will continue to guide and inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will remain a beacon of love and strength, forever etched in our hearts.
