In loving memory of Lisa Truster-Clay, who touched the hearts of many with her warmth, strength, and indomitable spirit. Born on June 14, 1965, in Chanute, Kansas, Lisa's journey through life was marked by her resilience, grace, and unwavering love for her family and community. She passed away peacefully on October 22, 2026, surrounded by loved ones, after a courageous battle with cancer. Lisa was the beloved daughter of Larry and Phyllis Truster. Her father, Larry, predeceased her on December 18th 2025, and her former husband, Tracy Clay, passed away on July 21st 2022. Despite these losses, Lisa remained a beacon of strength for her family, including her cherished son, Dylan Clay, who is 34 years old, and her devoted mother, Phyllis Truster, who survives her at the age of 80. A graduate of Chanute High School in 1983, Lisa pursued higher education with determination and success, earning her associate degree from Neosho Community College before continuing her studies at Pittsburg State University. Her passion for education was evident in her long career as a substitute teacher, where she inspired countless young minds. In addition, Lisa brought her energy and enthusiasm to her work with DoorDash and Uber, where she connected with people from all walks of life. Lisa's faith was a cornerstone of her existence. A dedicated member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church for over two decades, her spiritual commitment was a guiding force in her life. Her vibrant personality shone through in her love for the Kansas City Chiefs, her delight in shopping, and her impeccable sense of style. Lisa's love of music, dancing, roller skating, and playing records filled her days with joy. Her deep appreciation for animals reflected her generous and loving nature. Though small in stature, Lisa was a force to be reckoned with—tiny but fierce. Her presence was unforgettable, and her legacy of strength and kindness will continue to inspire all who knew her. In honoring Lisa's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a cause that was dear to her heart. Lisa Truster-Clay leaves behind a world that is brighter for having known her. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and she will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.
