Lisa Saturn

June 22, 1962 — April 15, 2026

Lisa Saturn, a beloved mother, grandmother, friend, and talented artist, passed away peacefully in her home on April 15, 2026, at the age of 63. Born on June 22, 1962, in Macon, Georgia, Lisa was a beacon of warmth and creativity who touched the lives of everyone she met. Lisa was the cherished daughter of the late Jake S. Saturn, from whom she inherited her gentle spirit and determination. She spent her formative years in East Peoria, where she graduated from East Peoria High School. Her time there was marked by her boundless energy, infectious laughter, and a budding passion for the arts. Her artistic talent blossomed into a fulfilling career when she founded her own painting company. Through her work, Lisa not only brought beauty to homes and businesses but also inspired those around her with her dedication and creativity. Her ability to see the world through vibrant colors and unique perspectives was a gift she shared generously. Outside of her professional life, Lisa found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved spending her free time fishing, often finding peace and solace by the water, where she could reflect and gather inspiration for her next masterpiece. Her greatest joy, however, came from the precious moments spent with her grandchildren. Whether she was teaching them to paint or sharing stories of her own childhood adventures, Lisa's love for her family was immeasurable. Lisa is survived by a loving family who will continue to honor her legacy: Tammi Holmes, Brandon Sassman, Ashley Holmes, Braxton Holmes, Brock Holmes, Cassie Vandusan, Carry Vandusan, Shane Holmes, Kara Sassman, Lisa Spencer, and Ken Spencer. She was a proud grandmother to five grandchildren and adored her two great-grandchildren, who brought her endless joy and smiles. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Lisa's remarkable life on April 24, 2026, at 2:00 PM. The service will be held at the VFW Town Hall, located at 1435 West Chaplin Rd. It will be a time to remember and honor a life well-lived, to share stories and memories, and to find comfort in the love and legacy Lisa leaves behind. Lisa's warmth, kindness, and artistic vision will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. As we say goodbye, let us carry forward her love for life, her passion for art, and her unwavering devotion to family. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the beauty she created and the love she cultivated.
