Lisa J Pfeffer
April 4, 1971 — May 22, 2026
Lisa J. Pfeffer, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2026, in her cherished childhood home in Kentucky. Born on April 4, 1971, Lisa was the cherished daughter of Troy E. Jennings, lovingly known as Ed, and Christine S. Jennings. She was 55 years old at the time of her passing.
Lisa grew up surrounded by a family that cherished her, and she carried those bonds with her throughout her life. She was predeceased by her maternal and paternal grandparents, her dear mother-in-law Maureen Pfeffer, several aunts and uncles, and her beloved fur baby, T.J. Despite these losses, Lisa's spirit remained resilient and loving, always finding strength in the family she adored.
A proud graduate of Fleming County High School, Lisa briefly attended Maysville Community and Technical College, where she nurtured a lifelong love for learning and creativity. Her career path was centered around her roles as a devoted mother and a doting dog mom, titles she wore with immense pride and dedication.
Lisa's life was a tapestry of laughter, love, and loyalty. Her witty smile and abrupt humor could brighten any room, and her kind, understanding heart made everyone feel heard and valued. Her daughters, Kristain (Jon) Howard, Kathleen "Katie" (Josue) Chan, and Abigail "Abby" (Ethan) Pfeffer, were the light of her life, and she cherished long, heartfelt conversations with them. Her husband, Christopher Scott Pfeffer, was her partner in all things, sharing a bond of love and respect that was admired by all who knew them.
Lisa's life was enriched by her hobbies and passions. She found joy in listening to music, writing, and decorating, and she had an adventurous spirit that loved traveling and taking any trip, no matter how small. These simple pleasures brought her peace and happiness, and she shared them freely with those around her.
In addition to her immediate family, Lisa is survived by her brother, Donald E. Jennings, her father-in-law Christopher Pfeffer, her sister-in-law Kelly (Murphy) Gifford, her niece Paige (Jared) Just, her nephew Joey Pfeffer, two great-nephews, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly.
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to Boone Nickell Funeral Home for their compassionate handling of Lisa's arrangements. A private ceremony will be held to honor Lisa's life, reflecting the intimate and personal nature of her relationships.
The family would also like to extend a heartfelt thanks to their aunt, Patricia Fearin, who has been a nurturing presence akin to a mother since the passing of Lisa's mother, Christine Jennings, in 2025.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Boone Nickell Funeral Home in Lisa's memory, as a tribute to the kindness and support they have provided during this difficult time.
Lisa's light will continue to shine in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty will be carried forward by her family and friends, ensuring that her memory is cherished forever.
