March 3, 1952 — June 6, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Lindell Barham, who left this world on June 6, 2026, after a courageous battle with illness. Born on March 3, 1952, in the charming town of Carrsville, Virginia, Lindell was a beacon of light and joy to all who knew him. Lindell was the cherished son of Mr. Kempie Lee Barham and Mrs. Gertie Mae Barham, who instilled in him the values of kindness and generosity that he carried throughout his life. He was preceded in death by his dear brother, John Lee Barham, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms at Heaven's gates. A devoted husband, Lindell married the love of his life, Mildred Bullard, on September 23, 1979. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and six wonderful children: Eugene, Tyrone, Lydell, Bryan, and Johnathan. He also has another son from a previous relationship Lindell Stokes. His legacy continues through his children, his adoring grandchildren, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, and friends whose lives he touched deeply. Lindell was a man whose presence could light up any room, known for his warm smiles and quick jokes that could lighten the mood in an instant. His compassion and generosity knew no bounds, leaving an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to cross his path. He spent his formative years in Windsor, Virginia, before moving to New York to live with his beloved Aunt Pauline Jones. There, he embarked on his professional journey, starting with Whittaker Plascal in Farmingdale, Long Island, where he honed his skills and built lasting friendships over more than a decade. He later joined John's Tire Company, dedicating over 12 years of service until a work-related injury led him to a new chapter in life. Despite the challenges life presented, Lindell's spirit never wavered. He found immense joy in music and dancing, always the life of any gathering, especially during family barbecues and birthday parties. His love for life was infectious, and his dedication to his family was unwavering. Lindell is survived by his loving sister Elaine Wells; brothers Ryland, Andrew, and Robert Barham; sisters Peggy Lane and Lottie Barham; brother Ricky Barham; cousins Masco and Delores Jones; and a host of other cherished relatives and friends. His memory will forever be treasured by his grandchildren, who were the apple of his eye. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Waterbury Hospital and the Cheshire Therapy House for their exceptional care during Lindell's final days. Their kindness and support brought comfort to Lindell and his loved ones during a difficult time. Although Lindell is no longer with us in body, his spirit lives on in the hearts of those he left behind. As we say goodbye to our beloved Lindell, we find solace in knowing that he is "forever in our hearts," his legacy living on through the countless lives he touched. A celebration of Lindell's life will be held in the coming days, where family and friends will gather to honor a remarkable man whose life was a testament to love, resilience, and kindness. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
