It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Linda Weinreich, who departed this world peacefully on June 2, 2026, at the age of 77. Born on August 18, 1948, in Burlington, Iowa, Linda was a beacon of light and love, touching the hearts of everyone she encountered throughout her rich and meaningful life. Linda was a devoted nurse for over 20 years, a career that perfectly suited her nurturing spirit and boundless compassion. Her dedication to the well-being of others extended far beyond her professional life, as she was known for putting everyone else’s needs ahead of her own, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. Family was the cornerstone of Linda's life, and she cherished every moment spent with her loved ones. Her two daughters, Sandra Scott and Glenda Henson, were the pride of her life, and she showered them with unconditional love and support. Linda's nurturing spirit extended to her grandchildren, Levi Bernhart, Kori Scott, Kasey Bernhart, Madalon Bernhart, Caleb Henson, Yoni Sarniento, Shilo Sarniento, and Robby Sarniento, as well as her 20 great-grandchildren. Her family was her greatest joy, and she delighted in taking them to the park and pool, where laughter and love filled the air. Karaoke nights with her great-grandkids were legendary, where they would sing and dance with joy and abandon. Linda leaves behind her cherished mother, Reba Weinreich, and her siblings, Kathy Thompson, Danny Weinreich, Peggy Huggins, Diane Gonzalez, and Jim Weinreich, all of whom adored her for her sweet, outgoing nature, and her intelligence. Her family will forever remember her as a pillar of strength and warmth, a woman who embodied kindness and selflessness. Beyond her immense love for her family, Linda was an exemplary friend to many. Her caring nature and vibrant personality made her a beloved figure in her community. She was a woman who exuded grace and warmth in all she did, always ready to provide comfort and support to those in need. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the incredible doctors, nurses, and friends who were there for Linda in her final days. Your compassion and care brought her comfort and peace, and we are eternally grateful for the love you showed her. A celebration of Linda’s remarkable life will be held on June 20, 2026, at 11:00 AM at 601 North St, Mediapolis, IA. We invite all who knew and loved Linda to join us in honoring her memory and to share stories of the joy and love she brought into our lives. Linda Weinreich will be deeply missed, but the love she shared and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
