It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Linda Teresa Madsen on June 10, 2026, at the age of 82. Born in the vibrant city of New York, New York, on November 25, 1943, Linda's life was a tapestry of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Linda was the cherished daughter of Tomas Santiago of Ponce, Puerto Rico, and Theresa Querrazzi of New York, New York. She was predeceased by her loving parents, her brother Tom Santiago, and her sisters Elaine Lopez and Diane Said. Though their loss was deeply felt, Linda carried on their legacy of strength and compassion.
She is survived by her beloved son, Michael Madsen, and his family: Lori, Matthew, Linea, Kade Madsen, and Sara Jane, Xavier, and Marleau Macy. Her treasured daughter, Kristine Foster, along with Bill, Amanda, and Nick Foster, continue to carry forth her spirit of kindness and joy. Linda also leaves behind her dear sister, Phyllis Goebel, and a host of nieces and nephews who adored her. Her legacy lives on through her four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who brought her endless joy and pride.
Linda was united in marriage with Bill Madsen for 25 wonderful years. Together, they crafted a life full of shared dreams and laughter, raising two beautiful children in a home filled with warmth and love. Linda's dedication as a homemaker set the foundation for her family's happiness and success.
An alumna of San Ramon Valley High School, Linda later pursued a fulfilling career with Pacific Bell, where she fostered many lifelong friendships. Her colleagues remember her for her unwavering dedication and the infectious joy she brought into every room.
Linda's passions were as diverse as they were enriching. A devoted fan of the San Francisco Giants, she cherished the thrill of the game. An avid crocheter, Linda's beautiful blankets were woven with love and gifted to family and friends. Her love for reading and movies, coupled with her enthusiasm for Bingo, were sources of delight throughout her life.
Known for her beautiful smile, kind heart, and gift of gab, Linda had a unique ability to make everyone laugh and feel welcomed. Her love for life was contagious, and her family was her greatest treasure. Linda's legacy is one of love, compassion, and an unwavering zest for life.
As we gather to celebrate Linda's life, let us remember her not with sadness but with gratitude for the countless ways she touched our lives. Her spirit will forever remain in our hearts, guiding us with her wisdom and love.
