Linda was the cherished daughter of Carolyn and Gerald Hughes. She was predeceased by her son, John Bagis, whom she loved dearly and now joins him to be with the Lord. Linda is survived by her devoted siblings: Dennis Hughes and his wife Pam, Alena Harris and her husband David, Jeffrey Hughes and his wife Kay, and Julie Roth and her husband Lawrence. Her family was the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Linda's journey in education began at West Greene High School, where she graduated with a bright future ahead. Her first employment was with the FBI, a testament to her intelligence and dedication. After dedicating her early years to raising her son, she found her true calling as a tour guide at the United States Capitol. Linda took immense joy in sharing the rich history of her nation with visitors, always eager to teach and inspire.
In her personal life, Linda was actively involved with the Woodbridge Care Center, where she served as the Vice President of the Resident Counsel. Her leadership was marked by kindness and a commitment to helping others. She kept the community vibrant with activities and shared her zest for life with all who knew her.
Linda's hobbies reflected her nurturing spirit and creativity. She had a passion for cooking and baking, filling kitchens with warmth and the sweet aroma of her creations. Crafting was another of her joys, allowing her to express herself and spread happiness.
Linda was known for her quick wit and warm smile, which could light up any room. Despite the trials she faced, she remained positive and resilient. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued, a testament to her compassionate and generous nature.
In accordance with her wishes, a private ceremony will be held to honor Linda's life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, reflecting Linda's lifelong dedication to helping others.
