December 2, 1949 — March 15, 2026

December 2, 1949 - March 15, 2026 With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we announce the passing of Linda Sizemore of Rensselaer, Indiana, on March 15, 2026. Linda left this world peacefully at home, enveloped in the love of her family. Born on December 2, 1949, in the quaint town of Rensselaer, Linda was the beloved daughter of Bernice and Audrea Clemons, who predeceased her and whom she now joins in eternal peace. Linda was a beacon of kindness and compassion, known for her unwavering love for everyone she encountered. Her gentle spirit and generous heart left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a dedicated wife to her beloved husband, Hobart Sizemore, whom she married on September 10, 1966. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless memories, until Hobart's passing. A devoted mother, Linda is survived by her three children: Cecil Sizemore of Medaryville, Stacy (Richard) Goodman of Lafayette, and Tracy (the late Justin) VanWienen of Rensselaer. Her legacy extends to her five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, who will forever remember her warmth and the joy she brought into their lives. Linda's professional years were spent working as a welder at Monon Trailers, where her dedication and work ethic were evident in every task she undertook. Her colleagues remember her not only for her skills but for her ability to brighten the workplace with her kindness and sincerity. Outside of her work, Linda was a passionate lover of animals, especially her beloved dog, Cooper. Throughout her life, she surrounded herself with pets, each one a testament to her nurturing nature. She was an ardent fan of the Chicago Cubs, finding joy in every game, and a devoted follower of NASCAR, relishing the thrill of the races. Her parents, husband Hobart, two brothers, and her dear son-in-law, Justin VanWienen, predeceased Linda, and she is now reunited with them, basking in the peace of their company. A special message from Linda's family extends heartfelt gratitude to the St. Franciscan Cancer Center for their compassionate care and support during her final days. As we say goodbye to our beloved Linda, we hold her memory close, finding solace in the love she shared and the lives she touched. Her kindness and warmth will continue to inspire us, reminding us to love unconditionally, just as she did. A celebration of Linda's life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor her remarkable journey and the legacy she leaves behind. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to local animal shelters in Linda's honor, a fitting tribute to her lifelong love for animals.
