It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Linda Sellman, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, who departed this world peacefully on May 21, 2026, at the age of 79. Born on May 5, 1947, in the serene town of Fergus Falls, Minnesota, Linda was a beacon of love and resilience, touching the lives of all who knew her. Linda was a graduate of Fergus Falls High School, Class of 1965. Her thirst for knowledge led her to pursue higher education, where she earned an Associate's Degree in Accounting. With a keen mind for numbers and a heart dedicated to service, Linda embarked on a career with the state of Oregon in accounting. Her professional journey was marked by her role as an event coordinator for various branches of RSVP, among other positions that underscored her commitment to the community. In her personal life, Linda was a devoted mother to Angela and Anthony, whom she raised with boundless love and wisdom. Her journey was not without its trials, having faced the tragic loss of her first husband, Ronald Johnson, in a car accident. Despite this heartache, Linda's spirit remained unbroken, and she found love once more with her second husband, Edward Sellman. Together, they navigated the tapestry of life, moving between Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Minnesota, and Washington D.C., each place weaving new threads into the rich fabric of their lives. Linda's legacy is carried forward by her two children, her three cherished grandchildren, and four delightful great-grandchildren. She took immense pride in her family, always eager to impart her love for crafting to the next generation. An avid crafter, Linda's creations were a testament to her patience and creativity, much like the care she extended to the many animals she took in over the years, each one finding solace in her compassionate nature. In her quieter moments, Linda found joy in the intrigue of true crime and detective television shows, a pastime she enjoyed as a way to unwind from her busy days. Her love for life, family, and community resonated deeply with all who had the privilege of knowing her. A celebration of Linda's life will be held on May 31, 2026, at 1:00 PM. Family and friends will gather to honor her memory and the indelible mark she left on their hearts. As we bid farewell to this remarkable woman, we find comfort in knowing that her legacy of love, resilience, and kindness will continue to inspire us all. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a local animal shelter in Linda's memory, ensuring that her passion for caring for those in need continues to thrive. Linda's spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched, a testament to a life beautifully lived.
