May 22, 1960 — May 3, 2026

Linda Minor, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026, in her home after a brief illness. Born on May 22, 1960, in the vibrant city of San Francisco, California, Linda's life was a tapestry of love, dedication, and service to others. Linda was the cherished daughter of the late Hershel and Nancy Mills. She was predeceased by her parents, her half-brother Hershel Jr., and siblings Michael, Doris, and Doreen. Despite the loss of these loved ones, Linda's spirit remained resilient and her heart full of love for those who continued to surround her. In 1986, Linda married the love of her life, Ronald Minor, on a beautiful October day. Together, they shared nearly four decades of unwavering devotion and joy. Their love story was blessed with two wonderful children, Quentin and Nicole, who carry forward Linda's legacy of kindness and compassion. Linda's educational journey began with her graduation from Emerson High School in Gary, Indiana, in 1978. Her passion for helping others led her to pursue a career in nursing, earning her degree from Hartnell College in 1991. She further advanced her expertise by obtaining a Master’s in Nursing Education from Western Governors University. For 20 years, Linda served as a Registered Nurse at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital, where she touched countless lives with her gentle care and expertise. Her commitment to nurturing the next generation of nurses was evident in her role as a clinical nursing instructor at Hartnell College. In the final chapter of her esteemed career, Linda dedicated eight years to Philips Healthcare as a Clinical Educator and Clinical Specialist, sharing her extensive knowledge with colleagues and patients alike. Linda's love for the written word found a new form of expression in her retirement through her membership with the Sea Scribes Calligraphy Guild in Monterey. Her artistic talents were a testament to her belief in beauty and grace in all things. Though she embraced a quieter lifestyle in her later years, she remained a fervent fan of basketball and football, relishing the excitement of each game. Linda leaves behind her devoted husband, Ronald, her beloved children, Quentin and Nicole, and her siblings Alan (Roz) and Chris (Debra) of Gary, Indiana, and Gregory of Atlanta, Georgia. Her extended family includes a host of cousins and friends who will forever cherish her memory and the warmth she brought into their lives. Linda was known not only for her professional achievements but also for her personal qualities. She was a great mother and a supportive wife, always ready with a listening ear and wise counsel. Her friendships were marked by loyalty and generosity, and her door was always open to those in need of comfort or laughter. A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Linda's life, in accordance with her family's wishes. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Monterey County SPCA, an organization close to Linda's heart, at https://www.spcamc.org/. Linda's life was a testament to the power of love, kindness, and dedication. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit lives on in the hearts of those she touched. May her memory be a blessing and her legacy an inspiration to all who knew her.
