April 1, 2026 — April 30, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Marie (Denesia) Carlson, who left us too soon at the tender age of 26 on April 30, 2026. Linda graced this world on April 1, 2026, in the charming town of Broken Bow, Nebraska, where she began a journey marked by love, service, and dedication. Linda was the cherished daughter of the late Don and Lucille Denesia, who instilled in her the values of kindness, compassion, and resilience. She was the beloved sister to her predeceased siblings, Jimmy and half-brother Dennis Derickson, carrying forward their memories with grace and fondness. A proud graduate of Broken Bow High School in 1966, Linda pursued her passion for learning at State College, where she completed a year of study. Her thirst for knowledge and desire to make a difference led her to a fulfilling career. Linda dedicated a decade of her life to Minnesota Federal, where she was known for her diligence and warmth. She then devoted 25 impactful years to the St. Paul Schools ECFE program, nurturing young minds and supporting countless families with her gentle guidance. Linda’s life was richly adorned with faith and community service. A devoted member of St. Pascal’s Catholic Church, she found solace and strength in her faith, which she shared generously with those around her. Her spirit of giving extended to her volunteer work at Woodwinds Hospital, where for six years, she offered comfort and care to those in need, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts she touched. Linda's life was a testament to the power of love and service. Though she faced the profound loss of her beloved husband, Darrell, she continued to honor his memory through her unwavering dedication to her family and community. Her legacy is a tapestry woven with acts of kindness, love, and a steadfast commitment to making the world a better place. As we bid farewell to Linda, we celebrate a life beautifully lived, one that will continue to inspire all who knew her. Though she has departed from this earthly realm, her spirit will forever remain in our hearts, guiding us with her gentle wisdom and boundless love. A memorial service to honor Linda’s life will be held at St. Pascal’s Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Linda’s name to the St. Paul Schools ECFE program, in support of the educational endeavors she held so dear. Linda Marie (Denesia) Carlson, a beacon of light in our lives, will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with her loved ones and embraced by the boundless love she so freely gave.
