January 13, 1951 – May 14, 2026 With heavy hearts and profound respect, we celebrate the life of Linda Lively, a woman of deep complexity, unwavering resilience, and an enduring legacy of love and family. Born in the charming town of Augusta, Georgia, on January 13, 1951, Linda's journey was marked by the vibrancy of her spirit and the depth of her character. Linda's life was a testament to her strength and tenacity. She married Marvin Lamar Lively in 1969, and together they embarked on a journey that brought forth cherished memories and a beautiful family. Although their paths diverged in 1977, the years they spent together remained a significant chapter in Linda's life, one that enriched her legacy with laughter, love, and the shared joy of their children. Linda's life was not without its challenges, and she was known to be a complex and resilient woman. Yet, beneath her sometimes difficult exterior, those who truly knew her saw a heart that was fiercely dedicated to bringing happiness to those around her. Her journey was marked by an unyielding desire to care for others, to offer support in times of need, and to share a smile that could light up any room. Despite the hardships she faced, her commitment to her family and friends never wavered. Linda leaves behind a loving family who will forever hold her memory in their hearts. She is survived by her devoted children: daughter Sharon West and her husband Tom, along with their three precious grandchildren; son Marvin Lively Jr. and his wife Vicky, with their two wonderful grandchildren; daughter Teresa Lively; and son Jesse Newsome, who is blessed with six grandchildren. Linda also shared a special bond with her sisters, Cindy Joyner and her husband James, as well as Maureen Mullis and her husband Ronnie, and their beloved nieces. She was a proud grandmother to eleven grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy and pride to her life. Linda's legacy lives on in their laughter, their dreams, and the love they will continue to pass down through generations. In honor of Linda's life and in lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the American Heart Association, an organization close to her heart. Contributions can be made at https://www.heart.org/. A private funeral ceremony will be held to celebrate Linda's life. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the kindness, prayers, and support they have received during this difficult time. They respectfully ask for privacy as they reflect on cherished memories and navigate the days ahead. Your understanding and compassion are deeply appreciated. As we say goodbye to Linda, let us remember her not for the challenges she faced, but for the love she gave, the lives she touched, and the indomitable spirit that will forever remain in our hearts. May her soul find peace, and may her memory be a blessing to all who knew her.
