It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Linda Lee Barlow on May 8, 2026. Linda, who was surrounded by love and care at Sacred Heart Hospital's Hospice, was born on March 4, 1948, in Pensacola, Florida, to JR and Ruby Broxson. She was 78 years old.
Linda's life was a tapestry of love, resilience, and joy. She was predeceased by her beloved parents, JR and Ruby, and her two cherished grandsons, Keith Selby and Jayson Young. Despite these profound losses, Linda's spirit remained unbroken, finding strength and solace in the embrace of her family and the memories they shared.
A proud graduate of Pensacola High School, Linda briefly pursued a career in Respiratory Therapy and Office Management. Her professional journey, though short, was marked by her dedication and commitment to helping others, traits that she carried into every aspect of her life.
Linda's true legacy lies in her family, whom she loved deeply and unconditionally. She is survived by her four devoted children: Kim Young, Cynthia Allman, Patricia Garcia, and Patrick Bonifay. Linda's nurturing spirit and infectious joy extended to her 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, who brought her endless happiness and pride.
An avid reader and enthusiastic TV viewer, Linda found delight in life's simple pleasures. Her home was often filled with laughter and warmth, traits that mirrored her happy soul. Linda's family fondly remembers her as a beacon of light, whose laughter could brighten the darkest of days and whose love was a constant source of comfort and strength.
A celebration of Linda's life will be held on May 14, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the home of Cynthia Allman, located at 5456 Jones St. Family, friends, and all those whose lives were touched by Linda are invited to gather in remembrance of a life lived with love and grace.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the Life Care Facility staff for their compassionate care and the love they showed to Linda in her final days. Their kindness brought peace and comfort to Linda and her family during this difficult time.
