Linda K. Kieff, a beacon of compassion and unwavering dedication, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on September 15, 1942, in the quaint town of Pittsfield, Illinois, she was the cherished daughter of the late William and Lecie Campbell. Linda’s life was a testament to love, service, and resilience, leaving an indelible mark on all who were fortunate to know her.
Linda’s journey was woven with threads of family, faith, and service. Predeceased by her sister Christine Renner and beloved husbands, Donald Staton and DW Kieff, she was a testament to strength and grace, navigating life’s joys and challenges with unwavering faith. She is survived by her devoted brother, Stephen Campbell, and her loving children, Kenny, Kim, and Karin, who were her pride and joy. Her legacy continues through her adored grandchildren, Tristan, Kathryn, and Brianna, as well as her great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Beau, Quinn, and Declan, who were the light of her life.
Linda found her calling in service to others, flourishing in her post-retail career as a volunteer in numerous charities and ministries. Her generous spirit and boundless energy enriched the lives of many within the Child Welfare Board, J.A.I.L. Ministry (women's and juvenile), Lions Club, Rainbow Room, Hope Pregnancy Center, and the Caring Hearts/Bereavement Support Team of Darnall, among others. Her dedication to these causes was not just exemplary but transformative, offering hope and healing to countless individuals and families.
A woman of deep faith, Linda was an active member of Memorial Baptist Church, where she found solace and community. Her life was a reflection of her beliefs, embodying the virtues of kindness, empathy, and service that she held dear. In honor of her memory, donations can be made to the Memorial Baptist Church’s Debt Retirement Fund, a cause close to her heart, via www.membc.org.
Linda’s infectious smile, warm hugs, and wise words will be dearly missed, but her spirit lives on in the hearts of those she touched. Her life was a beautiful symphony of love, laughter, and service, and she leaves behind a legacy of compassion and faith that will inspire generations to come.
A celebration of Linda’s life will be held in the coming days, a gathering of family and friends to honor a remarkable woman who lived a life of profound impact. As we remember Linda, we are reminded of the power of love and service, and the beauty of a life well-lived.
