Born on December 24, 1946, in Newport News, Virginia, Linda was the beloved daughter of the late Roscoe McGuire, Jr. and Iris Carroll McGuire. Her life was a testament to devotion, both to her family and to all those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Linda was predeceased by her dear husband, Jason Wright, with whom she shared a life filled with love and companionship. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her sister Mary Withrow, and her brothers Donnie, William, and Darrell McGuire. Linda's legacy continues through her surviving sister, Connie Michels, and her husband John, who have been a source of support and love throughout her life.
A dedicated sales associate at Farm Fresh Grocery Store, Linda brought warmth and kindness to her work, impacting the lives of her colleagues and customers alike. Her commitment to service extended beyond her professional life as she was a proud and active member of Riverside Baptist Church, where her faith was a guiding light.
Linda's passions were as vibrant as her spirit. She was an avid collector of Coca-Cola memorabilia, a hobby that brought her immense joy and allowed her to connect with fellow enthusiasts. Her love for Disney was unparalleled, a testament to her whimsical and joyful outlook on life. Above all, Linda's greatest achievement was in her unwavering dedication to helping others, always ready to lend a hand or offer a comforting word.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate Linda's remarkable life on August 7, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Peninsula Memorial Park, located at 12750 Warwick Blvd. Newport News, VA 23606. It will be a time to reflect on the love and kindness she shared with the world and to honor her enduring spirit.
