In Loving Memory

Linda Faulk
November 21, 1955 — May 14, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Linda Faulk, who departed this world on May 14, 2026, at the age of 70, at her home after a courageous battle with dementia. Born on November 21, 1955, in Lubbock, Texas, Linda was a beacon of warmth and generosity, whose life touched many and whose spirit will continue to illuminate the lives of those who knew her.
Linda was the cherished daughter of the late Jessie and Maggie Jean Taylor, who predeceased her. She carried forward the love and lessons imparted by her parents, sharing them generously with her own family and the community around her. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her children, Sharon Faulk Petties and her husband Ronnie Petties, and her son Danny Morrison and his wife Alice Morrison. Linda was a proud grandmother to six grandchildren, and her heart was filled with joy as she welcomed seven great-grandchildren into the world. Her family was her greatest pride, and she nurtured each relationship with care and devotion.
Linda shared 15 memorable years of marriage with Roy Lee Faulk, with whom she created a home and family. Though their paths later diverged, their shared history remained a meaningful chapter in her life. Linda's educational journey took her through Estacado High, where she graduated in 1968. Her career was marked by dedication and service, notably at the Lubbock State School, where she worked for several years before retiring. Afterward, she obtained her CNA License and continued to serve others in various nursing homes until her illness.
A devout member of the Inside Out Baptist Church, under the direction of Pastor Steve Thompson, Linda's faith was a cornerstone of her life. She found joy in the simple pleasures, such as playing cards and dominos, always surrounded by her beloved family and friends. Her home was a haven of laughter and warmth, where everyone felt welcomed.
Linda's personality was as vibrant as it was nurturing. She possessed a unique ability to uplift others, always offering the clothes off her back if needed and ensuring that anyone having a bad day left her presence with a smile. Her charisma and charm were unrivaled, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met.
A celebration of Linda's life will be held on June 6, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Divine Love Baptist Church, located at 3301 Parkway Drive. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring her memory and the love she shared so freely.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported Linda during her illness, those who offered condolences, and all who have shared kind words and gestures of help during this time of grief. Your love and support mean the world to us.
In remembering Linda Faulk, we celebrate a life well-lived and a woman deeply loved. She will be dearly missed but forever treasured in our hearts. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
