Linda Finch Kennedy

It is with heavy hearts yet profound gratitude for a life beautifully lived that we announce the peaceful passing of Linda Finch Kennedy, a cherished soul who departed from this world on October 14, 2026, after a gentle decline in health. Born on September 9, 1950, in Durham, North Carolina, Linda was a beacon of love and kindness throughout her journey on this earth. Linda was the beloved daughter of Clarence A. Finch and Margie Jean LeCouter, who predeceased her and surely welcomed her with open arms into the next life. Her legacy of love is carried on by her devoted partner of nearly 30 years, Larry Edward Hudlin, who stood by her side through life's many seasons. A loving mother, Linda is survived by her three daughters, Debra Burton, Angela McDuffie, and Christina Dobson, each of whom carries a piece of her gentle spirit and boundless compassion. Linda's legacy is further enriched by her 18 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, who will continue to feel the warmth of her love through the stories and memories she leaves behind. Linda had a natural gift for touching hearts; she met everyone with an open heart and an open mind, Without judgment. Her kind heart was a rare and precious gift that her family and friends will cherish forever. Her love for others was immeasurable, as noted by a family member, "Love cannot be counted of worldly or materialistic things, but counted by the memories in the hearts she touched." In addition to her partner and daughters, Linda is remembered by her daughter Lisa McCartney West and brothers Mark Stephens and Sid Stephens, who predeceased her but remain ever-present in spirit. Linda’s family will honor her with a Celebration of Life at a later date . Though Linda has departed from our sight, her spirit remains a guiding light. Her warmth and love will be felt in the hearts of all she touched, reminding us that true love is eternal.
