Her life was one of warmth, laughter, and generosity—a life that touched all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Linda's journey was one of passion and dedication. In the early 1990s, she embarked on an entrepreneurial adventure by founding The Plant People, a business that blossomed under her care and commitment. Her love for plants was mirrored in her love for people and animals, creating a nurturing environment that extended far beyond her business.
Her sweet soul was evident in every aspect of her life. Linda was the epitome of a "cool mom," always ready with a listening ear and a heart full of love. She was a devoted mother to her son, Christopher Galate, and a proud grandmother to her four grandchildren: Aidan, Caleb, Collette, and Cora. Linda's spirit of generosity was unmatched; she was always the first to lend a helping hand to those in need, embodying the true essence of giving.
Linda's love for the Kansas City Chiefs was legendary, and her enthusiasm for the team was infectious. Sundays were sacred, filled with the excitement of football games and the camaraderie of fellow fans. Her home was a haven of laughter, love, and the unmistakable aroma of her favorite dishes, lovingly prepared for family gatherings.
Her soulmate, Roger Lewis, was by her side throughout her life, sharing in her joys and supporting her through life's challenges. Together, they created a home filled with love and laughter, a testament to their enduring partnership.
Linda is survived by her loving son, Christopher Galate, and his wife, Kayla; her cherished grandchildren, Aidan, Caleb, Collette, and Cora; her devoted brothers, Jack Francis and John Francis, along with John's wife, Dessa; and her niece and two nephews, who held a special place in her heart. She was predeceased by her parents, who undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms.

A celebration of Linda's life will be held in the coming days, where family and friends will gather to honor the remarkable woman she was and the beautiful life she lived. Linda's memory will continue to inspire and uplift, reminding us all of the power of love and the beauty of a life well-lived.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a local animal shelter or plant conservation organization, causes that were close to Linda's heart.
