April 8, 1952 — June 1, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Linda D’Antonio Blair, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left this world on June 1, 2026, at the age of 74. Linda departed peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, leaving behind a legacy of love, warmth, and compassion. Born on April 8, 1952, in Linthicum, Maryland, Linda was the beloved daughter of Nicolas and Shirley D’Antonio. Her father, Nicolas, predeceased her, but his gentle spirit and values lived on in Linda’s own life. She is survived by her devoted husband of nearly 52 years, Tom Blair, with whom she built a life filled with joy, adventure, and unyielding love. Linda was the proud and nurturing mother of two sons, Elliot and Colin Blair, who were her pride and joy. She welcomed their wives, Rachel Cajigas and Shirley Wong, into her family with open arms and a loving heart. Her greatest delight in recent years was her role as a grandmother to Gael and Gabriella Blair, whom she cherished deeply. Linda’s early years in Linthicum were filled with the love of her parents, Shirley and Nicolas, and her siblings, Jackie Groh and Nick D’Antonio. She shared countless memories with them, memories that were often retold at family gatherings with laughter and tears. Her extended family of nieces, nephews, and cousins were dear to her, and she took great joy in their achievements and happiness. Linda's academic journey began at Andover High School, where she graduated in 1970. She pursued higher education passionately, earning a BA in Psychology from Frostburg University and an MA in Special Education from Hood College. Her commitment to education continued throughout her life, as she dedicated 35 years to teaching at Thomas Johnson High School. As a Special Education Teacher and department chair, Linda was revered by her students and colleagues alike for her empathy, dedication, and unwavering support. She had the remarkable ability to inspire and nurture those around her, leaving an indelible mark on countless lives. Beyond her professional achievements, Linda was an avid reader who found solace and adventure in the pages of books. She also had a passion for travel, exploring new cultures and forming cherished memories with her loved ones. Known for her radiant smile and infectious laughter, Linda had an extraordinary gift for brightening any room she entered. Her thoughtful and caring nature was evident in every interaction, and her kindness touched all who had the privilege of knowing her. Linda’s life was a testament to the power of love, compassion, and resilience. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and the many students whose lives she enriched. As we mourn her passing, we also celebrate a life well-lived, one that was dedicated to the service of others and filled with love and laughter. A memorial service to honor Linda's life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to share stories and celebrate the beautiful memories she leaves behind. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Linda’s name, reflecting her enduring commitment to making the world a better place. Linda D’Antonio Blair will be profoundly missed but forever remembered with love and gratitude. Her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us all.
