Linda Curry, a cherished soul whose unwavering faith and infectious joy touched the lives of all who knew her, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2026. Born on February 10, 1966, in Soperton, Georgia, Linda was the beloved daughter of the late Cressie Mae Mincey and W.L. Wicker.
Linda's life was marked by a deep love for her family and community. Preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Marshall Mincey, Andrew Mincey, and Richard Mincey, she is survived by her devoted sons, Keith Atkins and Martel Curry, who were the lights of her life. She also leaves behind two cherished grandchildren Karter And Aiden,her loving siblings Ira Bailey, Mary Lee Kelly, Gloria Worthen, Martha Worthen (Clayton), Donnie Curry, Dennis Curry, and Reverend Otis Mincey, and a host of dear friends and family members.
Educated at Treutlen High School, Linda went on to work at the Middle Georgia Diversity Sewing Center in Soperton, where she was known for her dedication and hard work. Beyond her professional life, she was an active member of the Resource For Life church, where she served faithfully as an usher.
Linda's spirit was a beacon of joy and hope. She never allowed life's challenges to diminish her love for the Lord or her zest for life. Known for her extraordinary sense of humor and the ability to bring laughter to any room, being in Linda's presence was always a delightful experience. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, inspiring everyone around her.
Linda found joy in the simple pleasures of life—cherishing time spent in her community and enjoying the company of her beloved "Golden sisters" Patricia Chatman, Julia Austin, Alma Moye, and Pearl Wright. Music was a passion she loved to share, and her cousin Elizabeth Dixon was a treasured companion in her journey.
A celebration of Linda's life will be held on September 20, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at the Resource For Life church, located at 6978 Ga Hwy 46, Soperton, Georgia 30457. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Angel Care LLC and to her son Keith, who provided exceptional care as her Personal Care Assistant.
In honor of Linda's memory, contributions may be made to her church, Resource For Life, or an organization of your choice that embodies her spirit of love and community. Linda's unwavering faith and love continue to inspire all who were privileged to know her. She will be dearly missed, but her legacy of joy and laughter will forever remain in our hearts.
