Linda Carver, a beloved wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2026, at her cherished home in Land O Lakes Fl, surrounded by the gentle presence of her farm and horses. Born on March 11, 1941, to George and Norma Rettig in Boston NY, Linda's life was a tapestry woven with love, dedication, and a profound connection to the natural world. Linda shared 40 wonderful years of marriage with her late husband, Gary H. Carver. Together, they built a life rich in love, laughter, and shared passions. Their journey was one of mutual support and adventure, from designing and constructing hers, and her families homes, planting orange trees, raising cattle, and building barns to establishing Carver Farm, where they lovingly cared for horses and created a haven for fellow equine enthusiasts. A graduate of West Valley Central High School, Linda continued her educational journey at St. Bonaventure University, earning a Bachelor's degree in Science. Her professional life was marked by over 25 years as a successful Real Estate Business, Lutz-Land O Lakes Reality before she embarked on a new chapter, co-founding Carver Farm horse boarding with Gary. Linda’s love for horses was a legacy from her father, a passion she cultivated and shared with everyone she met. Known for her quick wit, warm smile, and vast knowledge of equine care, Linda was a beacon of light and wisdom for her community. Her interests were as diverse as they were deep; she was an accomplished photographer, a lover of water activities like boating, kayaking and scuba diving, an avid reader, particularly of world and Florida history, but her greatest passion was her love of horses. Linda is survived by her six devoted children, Marian Gant and her husband Tobby Gant, Cathy Betz, Clarisa Jacko and her husband John Jacko, Tina Nyquist and her husband Craig Nyquist, Gail Godin, and Gary Carver Jr, alongside her siblings, Theresa Wynn, Mary Gibson, George Rettig, and Jim Skinner. Her legacy continues through her 13 grandchildren including Theron, Justin, Justin Cypher, Crissy, Alex, Gary, Cassandra, Johnny, Natasha, Randy, and Danielle, as well as many nieces and nephews who will carry forward her values and spirit. Her nephew Jason Wynn was constantly at her side and provided her with comfort, humor, and cherished memories. She was predeceased by her husband, Gary Carver, her children Theresa Gonyaw and Karlotta Carver, and her brother Paul Skinner, all of whom she held dear and whose memories she cherished. A service to honor Linda’s remarkable life will be held on August 20, 2026, 1000am, at Loyless Funeral Home, located at 5310 Land O Lakes Blvd. The family extends their deepest gratitude to the hospice nurses, doctors, staff, and Pastor Joe for their compassionate care during Linda’s final days. In memory of Linda Carver, the family kindly suggests donations be made to a hospice care organization or a charity of your choice, reflecting Linda's enduring spirit of giving and community support. Her legacy of love, strength, and compassion will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her.
