With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Linda Carol Hatfield (Cramer), who left this world on May 24, 2026, after a courageous battle with Stage 4 cancer. Born on January 1, 1951, Linda graced this earth with her presence for 75 cherished years. Her life was a testament to love, resilience, and unwavering devotion to family and friends.
Linda was the beloved daughter of James Madison and Lila (Taylor) Hatfield, whose love and guidance shaped her into the remarkable woman she became. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers—Jimmy, Donald, and Dusty Hatfield—and three sisters, Betsy Hatfield, Ruth Hatfield (Johnson), and Jannet Marsh, who she has now joined in eternal rest.
Surviving Linda are her children, Phillip Tingley, Michael Eddie Ritcheson, Marie Padilla, and Jody Vinson, who were the center of her world. Her love extended to her numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson, all of whom brought immense joy to her life. Linda also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and countless friends and family members who held a special place in her heart.
Linda was a beacon of warmth and kindness, known for her outgoing and bubbly personality that could light up any room. She possessed an unyielding strength and a deep, passionate love for her family, always putting their needs ahead of her own. Her nurturing spirit knew no bounds, as she was ever ready to lend a listening ear or extend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her home was a sanctuary, where laughter and love flowed freely.
A lover of nature, Linda found tranquility in birdwatching, often spending hours marveling at the beauty of her feathered friends. She delighted in the company of others, whether engaging in heartfelt conversations or simply sitting in silence with those she loved. Her life was a tapestry woven with threads of compassion and joy, leaving an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know her.
In keeping with Linda's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor her extraordinary life and bid farewell to a woman who meant so much to so many. Although she is no longer with us, her spirit will forever reside in the hearts of those she touched.
