November 23, 1947 — September 26, 2026
Linda Ann Hatch, a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, left this world on September 26, 2026, at the age of 78. Born on November 23, 1947, in Syracuse, NY, Linda lived a life full of love, laughter, and vibrant creativity that touched everyone she met.
Linda was the daughter of Carey B. Hatch, Jr., and Evelyn J. Mcluskey, her birth mother, and was lovingly raised by her adoptive mother, Doris Murdoch. She is mourned by her children, Deborah J. Mann and Sean M. Mann, and her nine grandchildren: Joseph, Pauline, Leo, Lance, Nola, Phoebe, Brenden, Cayden, and Logen. Her family tree extends to three great-grandchildren, a testament to the love and legacy she leaves behind. Linda was predeceased by her sister, Penny L. Wheeler, and her son, Jeremy A. Mann, who she now joins in eternal peace.
A graduate of North Syracuse High School, Linda's professional journey began at the tender age of 18. Starting as a shampoo girl, she quickly honed her skills to become a hairdresser and eventually a salon owner. Her salon, A Look for All Seasons in Manlius, was not just a place of business but her kingdom, where she reigned with artistry, storytelling, and a laughter that was infectious. Her clients were not just customers but friends, many of whom she maintained relationships with for decades.
Linda was a woman of many talents. A gifted artist and enthusiastic gardener, she found joy and inspiration in the natural world. Her adventurous spirit led her to explore the wonders of Paris, Italy, and Greece, creating memories that she cherished and shared with others.
Known for her mischievous nature and infectious laugh, Linda's presence could light up any room. Her stories, often retold, never lost their charm and were always delivered with enthusiasm that brought smiles to those around her. Her strength and grace were most evident during her brave battle with cancer. Even in her final days, residing at Frances House, she remained a beacon of positivity and humor, embracing the journey ahead as a gateway to peace and reunion with loved ones.
Linda's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the Upstate Cancer Center for their compassionate care and to the dedicated team at Frances House for providing comfort in her final days.
A celebration of Linda's life will be held on October 2, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Schepp's Family Funeral Home, located at 8171 Cazenovia Road, Manlius, NY 13104. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Upstate Cancer Center or Frances House in her memory.
