She passed away peacefully at home, enveloped in the care and affection of her family, after a courageous battle with illness. Limakatso was the cherished daughter of Mr. Hartic and Mrs. Anna Senyane, who instilled in her the values of kindness and perseverance. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents and her seven treasured children, each of whom she held close in her heart every day. Her journey began at Nchafatso Primary School, where she cultivated a love for learning that she carried with her throughout her life. Limakatso’s work spanned various places in South Africa, including Aliwal North, Smithfield, and Sterkspruit, as well as a textile factory in Johannesburg. Her career was marked by dedication and diligence until her retirement in 1982. Her work not only supported her family, but also served as a testament to her resilience and strength. A devout and active member of the Wedela Methodist Church, Limakatso found great joy and solace in her faith and community. She was a beacon of light for all who knew her, offering her time and love to those in need and leaving a legacy of compassion and spiritual strength. Though her immediate family preceded her in death, Limakatso’s legacy lives on in her four surviving siblings, 17 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. She was the matriarch of a large and loving family, each member carrying forward her values of love, kindness, and community. It will be a time to honor her life, share fond memories, and find comfort in the love she spread so generously throughout her life. Limakatso Maria Senyane’s life was a tapestry of love, strength, and faith. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit and teachings will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
