Born on December 9, 1935, in Windsor, Ontario, Lillian was the cherished daughter of William and Cecile Kelly and was predeceased by her beloved husband, Kenneth George, her dear son Christopher George, and seven siblings.
Lillian and Kenneth shared a remarkable life together, united in marriage on September 13, 1958. Their 39 years of marriage were filled with laughter, joy, and the unwavering companionship of best friends. Together, they built a warm and loving home for their children, Mark George, Judy (Will), and Greg (Bryan), who survive her and carry on her legacy.
Lillian was a devoted mother, grandmother to Jamie (Trinity), and great-grandmother to Jaylin and Jazmyn. Her family was her pride and joy, and she embraced her role as the matriarch with grace and wisdom. Known for her vibrant zest for life and strong faith, Lillian had a remarkable ability to listen and love unconditionally. Her heart and home were always open, and she delighted in social gatherings that brought her loved ones together.
A proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 255, Lillian was a woman of deep community ties. Her passions were as diverse as they were enriching. She found joy in the rhythm of dancing and the soothing melodies of music. Her green thumb nurtured countless plants, and her appreciation for nature was boundless. Creativity flowed through her hands in her crafting endeavors, and her love for socializing made her a cherished presence at any gathering.
Lillian leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and resilience. Her sense of humor and infectious spirit brightened the lives of all who knew her. She was a beacon of strength and compassion, instilling these values in her family and all who were fortunate enough to call her a friend.
The family invites friends and relatives to celebrate Lillian's extraordinary life at a service on April 27, 2026. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to Windsor-Essex Hospice, ensuring comfort and care for those in need, a cause dear to her heart.
