Lillian June Baughman

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lillian J. Baughman, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, who departed this life on September 20, 2026. Born on May 18, 1939, in Williamston, Michigan. Lillian lived a life full of love and laughter, sharing her journey with her devoted husband, Russell D. Baughman. Their marriage, which spanned an incredible 70 years, was a testament to enduring love and companionship. Together, they built a beautiful family, which included their son, Jeffrey D. Baughman, and daughter, Linda K. Baughman. Lillian was also the proud grandmother of two grandsons, Brendan P. Rom, married to Laura, and Dylan R. Rom, who brought immense joy to her life. She is also survived by her sister, Sandra (Frank) Gonzales. Throughout her years, Lillian found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid reader, often found with a book in hand, escaping into different worlds through the pages. Her love for bingo brought her happiness and camaraderie, shared with her many friends. Animals, especially her cherished cats, held a special place in Lillian's heart, and she cared for them with great affection over the years. Lillian was predeceased by a son, Michael S. Baughman, her parents, Clyde McGowan and Pauline Brown and siblings, Bonnie Hall, Joyce Pardee, and Ronnie McGowan, who undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms. Her legacy of warmth and kindness lives on in the hearts of her surviving family and friends. In accordance with Lillian's wishes, there will be no services. The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Capital Area Humane Society in Lansing, MI, or Hospice/University of Michigan Health-Sparrow, Lansing, MI. The family would also like to thank her kind neighbors who were there in times of need. Lillian June Baughman's life was a tapestry woven with love, family, and cherished memories. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered by those who were fortunate enough to know her.
