Lillian Andre Reed
September 5, 1932 — June 25, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lillian Andre Reed, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Lillian peacefully departed this world on June 25, 2026, at the age of 93, surrounded by her beloved family. Her life was a testament to love, compassion, and dedication, leaving an indelible mark on everyone she encountered.
Born on September 5, 1932, in the vibrant city of San Francisco, California, Lillian was the light of her parents' lives from the moment she entered the world. Growing up in the heart of a bustling community, she developed a love for the ocean and found serenity in the rhythmic waves of the beach—a passion that remained with her throughout her lifetime.
Lillian pursued a noble career in nursing, earning her credentials as a Registered Nurse. Her dedication to the well-being of others transcended her professional life, as she consistently offered care, comfort, and support to those in need. Her ability to heal was not confined to the walls of a hospital; it was a gift she shared freely, leaving a legacy of kindness and compassion.
In 1954, Lillian married her beloved husband, John Michael Reed, with whom she shared a beautiful journey until his passing. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter, nurturing their family with unwavering devotion. She was predeceased by her dear son, Mike Reed, and her husband, John, both of whom she held close in her heart.
Lillian is survived by her loving daughter, Amy Johnston, and her daughter-in-law, Kathy Reed, who became much more than family—sharing a bond steeped in mutual respect and affection. Her grandchildren, Mikee Reed (Chasity), Becca Miller (Adrian), and Zane Johnston, were the pride of her life. She took immense joy in watching them grow and flourish, each bringing their own unique light into her world.
As a great-grandmother, Lillian's heart was full with the laughter and joy of her great-grandchildren: Tripp, Tensley, Tatum, Turner Reed, and Mabrey Miller. They were the brightest stars in her universe, and she cherished every moment spent in their presence.
Beyond her family, Lillian found joy and solace in painting, a hobby that allowed her to express the beauty she saw in the world. Her artwork was a reflection of her vibrant spirit, capturing the essence of the beaches she so adored and the landscapes she cherished.
Lillian's life will be celebrated in a private family service, where stories of her warmth, wisdom, and love will be shared. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew her, a testament to a life well-lived, surrounded by love and laughter.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made in Lillian's memory to a charity of your choice, honoring her generous spirit and her lifelong commitment to helping others.
Lillian Andre Reed will be dearly missed, but her spirit will forever remain a guiding light for those she leaves behind. Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and she will be loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
