It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Lex Thomas, who left this world too soon on June 6, 2026. Born on April 5, 1996, in St. Petersburg, Florida, Lex lived a life full of compassion and dedication, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing them. Lex was a beloved child of John Marshall and Sarah Phils, who cherished every moment spent with their thoughtful and caring child. Lex was predeceased by their dear brother, Michael Thompson, whose memory was always held close in Lex's heart. A proud alumnus of Gibbs High School, Lex went on to pursue a career that truly reflected their kind spirit and unwavering commitment to helping others. As a registered nurse, Lex offered comfort and healing to countless patients, embodying the very essence of what it means to be a caregiver. Their dedication to the health and well-being of others was both inspiring and admirable. Lex's pride and joy was their beloved daughter, Sherry Thompson, who survives them. Lex's love for Sherry was immeasurable, and their bond was one of pure devotion and camaraderie. Sherry will carry forward the legacy of love and compassion that Lex imparted. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Lex's life at a memorial service to be held on September 18, 2026, at 4:30 PM. During this time, we will gather to remember and honor the incredible life Lex led and the happiness they brought into the world. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the African American Alzheimer's and Wellness Association, an organization close to Lex's heart. This association, located in Westerville, OH, continues to uphold the values of care and community that Lex so deeply believed in. Lex Thomas's warmth, empathy, and dedication to others will be missed profoundly by all who knew them. As we bid farewell, we hold on to the memories and the indelible impact Lex made during their time with us. May their spirit continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those they touched.
