Lewis Meade Quigg

March 30, 1946 — March 31, 2026

Lewis Meade Quigg, a cherished son, devoted husband, loving father, and esteemed member of the community, passed away on March 31, 2026, just a day after celebrating his 80th birthday. Born on March 30, 1946, in Salem, Ohio, Lewis was the beloved son of Dick and Jean Quigg, who preceded him in death along with his brother, J. Michael Quigg, and nephew, Michael Lee. Lewis lived a life marked by love, dedication, and service. He leaves behind a legacy of compassion and integrity that will be carried on by his surviving family: his sons, Cannon Quigg and Kelsey Quigg, along with Kelsey’s wife, Jennifer; his daughter, Amy Giuliano, and her husband, Michael Cruz. He was a proud grandfather to Katie Cruz, who is married to Sonny Blauser, Reagan Quigg, and Ryan Quigg, and a devoted great-grandfather to Derrick James Blauser. He is also survived by a network of extended family and close friends who enriched his life and were enriched by his presence. Lewis’s journey of love began with his first marriage to Candace (Mudgett) in Sudan, Texas, on May 25, 1968. This union took them to Boulder, Colorado, where Lewis pursued his legal education. Later, he found enduring love with Kathy (Giuliano), with whom he shared nearly four decades of marriage. Together, Lewis and Kathy built a life filled with partnership both personally and professionally, working side by side for 30 years at Shaw & Quigg, P.C. Kathy’s passing left a profound void in Lewis’s life, but her memory continued to inspire him daily. A proud alumnus of Centennial High School in Pueblo, Lewis graduated with the Class of 1964, where he excelled as a varsity athlete in football and basketball. His exceptional sportsmanship earned him a well-deserved induction into the Centennial Hall of Fame in 2018, a testament to his enduring legacy. He remained passionately involved with the Centennial Alumni Foundation, committed to fostering community spirit and supporting future generations. Lewis’s academic journey continued at Austin College, where he earned his BA degree in 1968. He then served his country with honor in the United States Army from 1969 to 1971. Following his honorable discharge, Lewis pursued his passion for law at The University of Colorado, earning his degree in 1972. Lewis’s life will be celebrated on May 3, 2026, at 12:00 PM at the Olde Towne Carriage House, 102 S Victoria Ave, Pueblo, CO 81003. Family, friends, and all whose lives he touched are invited to gather and honor a life well-lived. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Lewis can be made to the Pueblo YMCA, the Michael Lee Foundation, and the Centennial Alumni Foundation—organizations that reflect his dedication to community, family, and the future. Lewis Meade Quigg will be remembered for his unwavering integrity, his deep love for his family, and his commitment to making the world a better place. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
