It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Lewis, who departed this life on June 30, 2026, after a courageous battle with an illness. Born on November 11, 1966, at the Ramstein-Miesenbach Air Base in Germany, Lewis was a beacon of kindness, strength, and unwavering faith. Lewis was the cherished son of Lee Ellis Sr. and Christine (Bell) Jones. He was predeceased by his loving mother Christine, his grandmother Katherine Maynard, and his uncle Carl Maynard. His life was a testament to love, service, and dedication, values that he carried with him throughout his journey. On April 4, 1992, Lewis married the love of his life, Jeana C. Williams, in Hampton, VA. Together they shared 34 wonderful years, filled with laughter, adventures, and a deep, abiding love that touched everyone they met. Lewis is survived by his devoted wife Jeana, as well as his brothers: Lee E. Jr. and his wife Myra Jones, Reggie and his wife April (George) Jones, and Rodric Ali and his wife Shamelia (Johnson) Jones. Lewis will be remembered by a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Lewis's formative years were spent in the Philippines, Illinois and Germany, where he graduated from Ramstein High School. He later pursued an Associate's Degree in Web Design, a field that allowed him to marry his technical skill with his creative passion. For 31 years, he worked diligently as a Cell Setup Operator in Newport News, VA, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues and friends. His faith was the cornerstone of his existence. Baptized on February 26, 1986, Lewis served as a Ministerial Servant and Elder among Jehovah’s Witnesses, roles that he embraced with humility and commitment. His life was marked by his willingness to help anyone in need, a testament to his generous spirit and loving heart. In his leisure time, Lewis found joy in roller skating, bowling, playing Scrabble, and customizing Mustangs. Each hobby was an expression of his vibrant personality and zest for life, providing him with countless hours of happiness and fulfillment. Lewis's family and friends will gather to celebrate his life and legacy on July 25, 2026, at 1:00 PM. The service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, located at 717 E Little Back River Rd, Hampton, VA 23669.
