Levi J. Hall
March 7, 1955 — September 21, 2026
Levi J. Hall Jr, affectionately known as the "Mayor of Bellows Falls," passed away peacefully on September 21, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born on March 7, 1955, in Keene, New Hampshire, Levi was a cherished son to the late Levi J and Beverly Hall.
Levi's journey through life was marked by a deep love for family and community. He spent many years working at the Putney Paper Mill and R N Johnson, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic. However, it was his life outside of work that truly defined him. Levi had an undeniable passion for car shows and motorcycle meets, and for over 30 years, he made his home in Bellows Falls, where he became a beloved figure.
Known for his warmth and friendly demeanor, Levi could often be found at the Flat Iron Cafe, sharing a cup of coffee and conversation with just about everyone. His ability to connect with people earned him the nickname "Mayor of Bellows Falls," a testament to the countless lives he touched.
Family was always at the heart of Levi's life. He is survived by his devoted children: Jason Hall and his wife Melissa, Lisa Hall and her partner Joshua Hoy, Melissa Hooker and her husband Phil, and Levi J Hall III. Levi cherished his role as a grandfather and great-grandfather to Emily & John Partlow, Nick Zammiello, Cassandra & Dallas Smith, Mercedes & Jasmine Hall, Marshall Clarke, Savanah Blackden & Cheyenne Hoy, and his great-grandchildren Connar & Matthew Partlow, Brycen Nieters, and Stephen & Zora Lavoie. He also leaves behind his beloved sisters Bonnie Bigelow and Cindy Smith with her husband Donald. And many nieces, nephews and special friends
Levi was predeceased by his parents and his dear grandson, Edward Hall. Despite this loss, his love for his family remained steadfast, and his grandchildren were his greatest joy.
In honor of Levi's life, the family kindly suggests that donations be made to the Dementia Society of America in remembrance of his enduring spirit and the memories he created with all who knew him.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Pheasant Wood Center in Peterborough, particularly to his nurse, Maria, who cared for Levi with the tenderness and affection of a granddaughter.
Levi J. Hall will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, community, and family will remain in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
