December 17, 1940 — November 1, 2026

Letricia Ann Jacobs, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2026, at the age of 85. Born on December 17, 1940, in the small town of Halls, Tennessee, Letricia was the cherished daughter of the late Paul Jefferson and Letha Jewel (Dew) Vaden. Letricia's life was a testament to love, family, and faith. She grew up in a vibrant household that set the foundation for her to become a compassionate and loving individual. Over the years, she forged a remarkable career as a medical receptionist, where her warm smile and kind demeanor were a comfort to many. Her life was enriched by her passions and the joy she found in simple pleasures. A spirited dancer, Letricia was a proud member of the Bop Club in Memphis, where she delighted in the rhythm and camaraderie of dance. Her love for travel took her to breathtaking destinations such as Hawaii, Germany, and Austria, and she cherished every cruise she embarked upon. At home, Letricia found happiness in Hallmark movies, puzzle-solving, and the art of cooking — her banana pudding and chocolate pie were legendary among family and friends. Letricia's home was filled with warmth and laughter, owed greatly to her beloved dogs, Scooter and Toby, who were as much a part of her family as anyone else. Her impeccable sense of style was evident in her love for fashion, and she took great pride in her appearance, always ensuring her hair and makeup were done to perfection. Above all, Letricia's heart belonged to her family. She adored her children, Tonya (Trey) Hurt and Mike (Tonya) Jacobs, and her legacy lives on through her six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, with another eagerly anticipated. Her siblings, Judy Paulette Berry, Brenda Rankin, Sherry Brown, and Paul (Jan) Vaden Jr., continue to cherish the bond they shared. Letricia's life was underpinned by a deep and abiding faith. Her unwavering belief in God was a guiding light, and she often spoke of how "God was with me," a testament to her strong spiritual conviction. She touched the hearts of everyone she met, always eager to make new friends and share in the joys and sorrows of those around her. A service celebrating Letricia's life will be held on November 7, 2026, at 12:00 PM at the Tabernacle of Praise, located at 9879 Hwy 51 N, Halls, TN 38040.
