Leslie Dalton Cook, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 29th, 2026, at the age of 52, surrounded by his cherished loved ones at Saint James Memorial Hospital. Born on April 30, 1974, in Fredrick, Oklahoma, Leslie was a man whose life was defined by love, dedication, and a passion for the simple pleasures of life. Leslie was the cherished son of the late Vickie and Henry Cook. Their love and guidance shaped the wonderful man he became. He was preceded in death by his devoted parents, who now welcome him in eternal peace. In 2004, Leslie married the love of his life, Tonya Alcantar, in Cordell, Oklahoma. Together, they spent eight beautiful years nurturing a family filled with love and laughter. Their home in Cordell was a haven where they raised three wonderful children: Marcus of McCook, Nebraska; AJ of Corn, Oklahoma; and Anita of Corn, Oklahoma. Leslie's legacy lives on in his 14 adoring grandchildren: Jason, Aubrie, Matthew, Marcus Junior, Dalton, Abby, Abigail, Ezra, Hayden, Evelyn, Mckenzie, Adrian, Tony, Jeremiah, and Lucy. His family was his pride and joy, and he relished every moment spent with them. Leslie had a profound love for the great outdoors and cherished moments spent camping, fishing, and playing basketball with his children and grandchildren. His laughter and competitive spirit were infectious, and he took every opportunity to visit his family, ensuring his presence was felt in their lives. His children and grandchildren were the light of his life, and he never missed a chance to express his love and pride in them. Known for his kindness and gentle spirit, Leslie had a warmth that drew people to him. His generosity and unwavering support for those he loved will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Leslie's zest for life and love for his family left an indelible mark on everyone he encountered. In accordance with his wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Leslie's memory. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated doctors and staff at Saint James Hospital for the compassionate care provided to Leslie in his final moments. They also wish to thank their extended family and friends for the outpouring of love, support, and condolences during this difficult time.
