Leroy Williams, a cherished soul and devoted family man, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2026, at the age of 75, due to a sudden heart attack. Born on March 12, 1951, in the close-knit community of Tchula, Mississippi, Leroy was the son of the late Mary and Larry Williams, who instilled in him a strong sense of integrity, kindness, and resilience.
Leroy's life was a testament to the values he held dear: family, faith, and friendship. He was a beacon of support and wisdom to those around him, always providing a listening ear or a helping hand when needed. His gentle spirit and infectious laughter left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Leilani Arnold, and her husband, Bob, who were his pride and joy. Leroy's legacy further extends to his treasured great-grandchildren, Blake Jones and Bobby Carr, who brought immense happiness to his later years. He was a beloved uncle to Sandra Waltman, widow of the late James Waltman, and Sandy Williams, along with his wife, Karen. Leroy's great-niece, Cindy Schuhmann, and her husband, Steve, as well as his great-nephews, Jason and Adam Williams, will forever hold his memory in their hearts. His presence will also be dearly missed by his many great-great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-great-nieces and nephews, who will carry forward his legacy of love and compassion.
Leroy found joy in the simple pleasures of life: a well-tended garden, the laughter of family gatherings, and the soothing rhythm of gospel music. He was a man of profound faith, drawing strength and comfort from his spiritual beliefs, which guided him through life's challenges and triumphs.
As we celebrate Leroy's life, we are reminded of the warmth and generosity he shared with the world. His legacy is one of love, resilience, and unwavering kindness, offering a powerful example for all of us to follow.
