Lepelletier mercier
September 12, 1953 — February 18, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lepelletier Mercier, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who departed this world peacefully on February 18, 2026, at the age of 72. Lepelletier's journey began on September 12, 1953, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, a place that always held a special corner of his heart.
Lepelletier was a man whose hands told the story of a life dedicated to service and care. For over 40 years, he worked tirelessly as a mechanic, fixing cars and, in doing so, helping people in his community. His workshop was more than just a place of business; it was a sanctuary where friends gathered, stories were shared, and lives were enriched by his generosity and kindness. Lepelletier believed in the power of hard work and the dignity it brought, and through his craft, he touched countless lives.
In 1987, Lepelletier's life was forever changed when he met the love of his life, Angela Washington-Mercier. Their bond was immediate and unbreakable, marked by 36 years of companionship and 19 years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. Angela was not only his partner but his confidante and the cornerstone of the home they lovingly created.
Lepelletier was a devoted and loving father to two children, Amber Mercier (Derek) and Lepelletier Mercier Jr., who carry forward his legacy of kindness, strength, and integrity. He was immensely proud of their achievements and the remarkable individuals they have become. His family was his pride and joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
One of Lepelletier's greatest treasures in life was his special granddaughter, Dakota D Hill. She brought an immeasurable amount of joy and light into his life, and he reveled in the role of doting grandfather, always eager to share his wisdom, humor, and love.
A true friend to many, Lepelletier's life was also enriched by the enduring friendship he shared with Arnold. Their bond was a testament to the power of true camaraderie, rooted in decades of shared experiences, laughter, and support.
As we remember Lepelletier, we celebrate a life well-lived—a life characterized by unwavering devotion to family, a commitment to community, and an unyielding work ethic. He leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In honoring Lepelletier's life, we invite family and friends to join us in a celebration of his remarkable journey. Details of the memorial service will be shared in the coming days. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a local charity that supports community development, reflecting Lepelletier's lifelong dedication to helping others.
Though his physical presence is no longer with us, Lepelletier Mercier's spirit will forever remain in our hearts, guiding us with the same warmth and compassion he shared so generously during his time on earth.
