In Loving Memory of Leonor G. Villarreal Leonor G. Villarreal, known affectionately as Mrs. Nona, left this world peacefully on October 22, 2026, surrounded by the love and warmth of her cherished family at her home. Born on July 5, 1935, in Nordheim, Texas, Leonor was a beacon of love, faith, and dedication throughout her 91 years of a life well-lived. A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Leonor's legacy is carried forward by her daughters Silvia, married to Chris Rocco, Stella, married to Armando Arguello, and Iris Bergara. Her memory will also be cherished by her beloved grandsons, Lee Sanchez, Johnny Bergara Jr., and Jason Bergara, as well as her great-grandchildren: Desarae, Jordan, Blake, Bree, and Maddie Bergara. Leonor is reunited in eternal peace with her parents and her six siblings, who predeceased her. Leonor dedicated 48 remarkable years as an instructional aide at O'Donnell Elementary School in O'Donnell, Texas, where she influenced countless young lives with her nurturing spirit and unwavering patience. Her dedication to education and her students was a testament to her generous heart and nurturing soul. A woman of profound faith, Leonor was a devoted Baptist and an active member of both Primera Iglesia Baptist and First Baptist Church in O'Donnell. Her strong Christian beliefs were the cornerstone of her life, providing her with strength and guidance through all of life's challenges. Leonor's kitchen was a place of warmth and delight, where she expressed her love through her passion for cooking and baking. Her delicious tamales, tacos, and enchiladas were legendary, but it was her chocolate pecan sheet cake that captured the hearts and taste buds of all who were fortunate enough to enjoy it. Her family was the center of her universe, and she was their unwavering pillar of strength and support. Leonor's love was unconditional, and her presence was a comforting constant in the lives of those she held dear. A service to honor and celebrate the life of Leonor G. Villarreal will be held on October 26, 2026, at 10:25 a.m. at First Baptist Church, located at 701 Standefer, O'Donnell, Texas. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Lubbock Hospice for the compassionate care they provided during the past year. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Leonor's memory to the O'Donnell Volunteer Fire Department, an organization close to her heart. Leonor's spirit and the love she shared will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her life was a beautiful example of kindness, devotion, and unwavering faith. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
