Leonor “Lee” Reilly, born on January 4, 1953, in Spanish Harlem, New York, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2026, in Staten Island, New York, where she made her home and built her life with her family. She passed after a courageous battle with COPD. She was the daughter of Francisco Perez and Leonor Gonzalez. Lee leaves behind her beloved husband of 40 years, James Reilly, with whom she built a beautiful life filled with love and laughter. Together, they raised their children, Penelope,Vincent, Matthew, Nicholas, and Jimmy, along with her son-in-law, Moses, Brad & daughter-in-law, Kristen. Her greatest joys were her three adored grandsons, Bryan, Blake, and Vincent, who were the light of her life. Lee is also survived by her stepdaughter, Victoria, her grandchildren Nicholas and Francesca, and her great-grandson, Dominic. She also leaves behind her beloved brother, Archie, and sisters, Lydia, Rebecca, and Patty. Lee was predeceased by her beloved son, Vincent John, whom she lost at just 10 years old. Lee's life was marked by her irresistible zest for living. She was truly the life of the party, always ready to crack a joke, dance the night away, and cheer on her beloved New York Giants. Her “no filter” made her feisty, but her open heart made everyone feel like family. Lee's gatherings were legendary, filled with laughter, music, and a sense of belonging that was uniquely hers. While Lee was known for her vivacious spirit, she also carried the profound sorrow of losing her son, Vincent John, at the tender age of 10 in 1992. This unimaginable loss shaped her, yet she continued to celebrate life, keeping Vincent close in her heart. A service to honor Leonor's life will be held on September 18, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, located at 5371 Amboy Road. Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate the extraordinary life of a woman whose spirit was as bright and enduring as the stars. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Ronald McDonald House, an organization close to Lee’s heart. Lee will be remembered for the laughter she infused into every room, the doors she always kept open, the family she loved fiercely, and the unforgettable spirit that made her simply Lee. Her legacy of love and joy will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
