Born on September 9, 1975, in the warm and vibrant town of Castaños, Coahuila, Mexico, Leonardo was the cherished son of Rogelio Sanchez and Sanjuana Macias, who preceded him in death. His life was a testament to love, laughter, and resilience. Leonardo, affectionately known as Leo to family and friends, was a man of many talents and passions. He embarked on a fulfilling career in construction and remodeling, where his keen eye and skilled hands brought countless projects to life. His entrepreneurial spirit later led him to establish his own family business, a venture that thrived under his guidance. In his later years, Leonardo found solace and joy in nurturing plants, watching them grow and flourish under his tender care. On August 22, 1992, Leonardo married his soulmate, Alma Karina Treviño Oviedo, in Monclova, Coahuila, Mexico. Together, they shared 34 years of unwavering devotion, raising three wonderful children: Javier Leonardo, Fidel Francisco, and Marisol Sanchez. Their home was a haven of love, laughter, and the joyful chaos of family life. Leonardo's legacy lives on in his six adored grandchildren: Noah Alexander, Sofía, Marcos Francisco, Mason, Oliver, and Samuel Sanchez. He was the proud brother of Lorena Romo and Yadira Lopez, with whom he shared a lifelong bond. Leonardo was a man who embraced life with enthusiasm and a generous spirit. He relished every opportunity for adventure, whether it was a day at the park, a trip to the river, or a serene afternoon on the beach. Family gatherings were his favorite occasions, where he reveled in the music of cumbias and corridos, filling the air with his laughter and joy. A celebration of Leonardo's life will be held on September 5, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at the Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, located at 226 Cupples Rd., San Antonio, Texas 78237. Family and friends are welcome to gather in remembrance of a man who brought so much warmth and happiness into their lives.
