Leonard Conrad Hoffman

Leonard Conrad Hoffman, a devoted family man and cherished friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 95 on August 12, 2026. Born on March 10, 1931, in Saginaw, Michigan, Leonard lived a full and vibrant life, touching the hearts of all who knew him. Leonard was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ellen Hoffman, with whom he shared many wonderful years. He is survived by his children, Mike Hoffman and his wife Elaine, Randy Hoffman and his wife Dawn, and Kathy Mason. He also leaves behind a rich legacy in his eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to his life. Leonard proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force, embodying a spirit of dedication and service. Following his military service, he enjoyed a successful career at Ford Motor Credit, where he was known for his diligence and integrity. A man of deep faith, Leonard was an active member of the City Church in Greenville, where he found community and spiritual growth. His love for his family was boundless, and he relished opportunities to gather with them, whether for a simple lunch at a favorite restaurant or lively family celebrations. Leonard had a zest for life that was evident in his love for warm winters, which he spent surrounded by the warmth of loved ones and newfound friends at Oakes of Belmont. Here, he embraced the camaraderie of bingo games, the elegance of high tea, and the joy of happy hour, creating a tapestry of cherished memories. In his final days, Leonard was cared for with compassion and kindness by the dedicated staff at Oakes of Belmont and Gentiva Hospice. His family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to these wonderful caregivers who brought comfort and happiness to Leonard's days. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to a charity of one's choice, in memory of Leonard's generous spirit and his commitment to helping others. Leonard will be remembered for his warmth, his love for his church and family, and his unwavering optimism. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy of love and laughter will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
