His career spanned various roles, including a cook at Harold's Chicken, and positions at Saint Therese Hospital and Catholic Charities Meal on Wheels in Waukegan. His work was a testament to his commitment to serving others, a value he carried throughout his life.
Leon was a man of many interests, finding joy in playing chess, solving sudoku puzzles, reading, and watching scary movies. His passion for education was evident as he delighted in helping his grandchildren with their homework, always eager to impart knowledge and make learning enjoyable.

A celebration of Leon's life will be held on August 8, 2026, at 3:00 PM, where family and friends will gather to honor the remarkable man he was.
