Leo Jacob Dennis

In loving memory of Leo Jacob Dennis, who graced this world with his presence on January 16, 1962, in Richmond, Virginia, and departed from us on September 5, 2026. Leo peacefully passed away in his sleep, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and love. Leo was the beloved son of the late Ruth and Leo Dennis and was predeceased by his sister, Caramel Russell, and brothers, Benjamin Alston, James Alston, and Dublin Dennis. Surviving is his sister Ruth Louise Dennis-Phillips and his brother Calvin D Alston Sr., along with his sister in laws Carolyn Alston and Lucille Alston. He was also a devoted uncle to a host of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. His family was his heart, and he cherished every moment spent in their company. Known for his loving and caring nature, Leo had an unparalleled ability to bring joy and laughter into the lives of those around him. After serving his country with pride in the United States Army for two years, Leo returned to civilian life, where he found joy in simple pleasures. He was an avid fan of television shows, particularly those involving home repair and building, and he spent many weekends engrossed in both college and professional football and basketball games. In addition to his love for sports, Leo enjoyed comedy movies, which perfectly suited his vibrant personality and zest for life. Leo Jacob Dennis will be remembered as a beacon of kindness and humor, and his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those he loved.
