December 3, 1936 — October 10, 2026

Leo Webb, Sr., a beacon of kindness, courage, and unwavering faith, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2026, at the age of 89, surrounded by his beloved family in Oakdale, Louisiana. Born on December 3, 1936, in Glenmore, Louisiana, Leo was the cherished son of the late Leon Webb, Jr. and Henrietta Raney-Webb. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Edward Webb, Sr., and his sister Elaine Lassiter. Leo's life was a remarkable tapestry woven with threads of dedication to his country, community, and family. A proud United States Army Veteran, he honorably served for twenty years, including during the Vietnam War, before transitioning to a distinguished career as a Deputy with the Allen Parish Sheriff's Department, serving for another twenty-three years. His commitment to public service was matched only by his devotion to his faith and family. A man of profound spirituality, Leo served as the Associate Pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church, where he found immense joy and fulfillment in his ministry and fellowship. He was a pillar of strength and guidance to his church family, always ready with a warm smile and an open heart. Leo's love for the great outdoors was well-known among his friends and family. An avid fisherman and hunter, he also enjoyed the camaraderie of the bowling lanes, competing for many years in the Commercial League of Alexandria. These activities brought him great joy, as did sharing his passions with those he loved. Leo's legacy of love and kindness continues through his children, LaRee Morris, Leo Webb, Jr. (Marlene), and Leslie McClinton (Wilbert), and a host of extended family members, law enforcement colleagues, and dear friends who will miss him deeply. Although he leaves behind no grandchildren, his influence and spirit will live on in the many lives he touched. A celebration of Leo's life will be held on October 24, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Mowad Civic Center, located at 213 S 10th St, Oakdale, LA 71463.
