With deepest sorrow, we announce the passing of Lenzy Crews, who left us peacefully on March 4, 2026, at the tender age of 17. Lenzy was born on December 30, 2008, in the serene community of Halifax County, Virginia, where they brought joy and brightness to all who knew them. Lenzy was the cherished child of the late Lindsey Crews, and while their time together was tragically short, the bond they shared was profound and everlasting. Lenzy carried the loving memories of their parent in their heart, and now they are reunited in eternal peace. A student at George Washington High School, Lenzy was a bright scholar who excelled in their studies and inspired their peers with their determination and kindness. Lenzy had a particular passion for running track, where they spent countless hours training and competing, always pushing themselves to new heights. Whether sprinting across the finish line or cheering on teammates, Lenzy’s enthusiasm was contagious, and their spirit of camaraderie left an indelible mark on those around them. Lenzy was also a devoted member of Millstone Baptist Church, where they actively participated in various activities and community services. Through their faith, Lenzy found strength and purpose, touching the lives of many with their compassion and selflessness. Their commitment to their faith and their community will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing them. A service to celebrate Lenzy's life will be held on March 14, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Lenzy are invited to gather and remember the joy and love that Lenzy brought into the world. Though Lenzy’s time with us was far too brief, their legacy of kindness, strength, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew them. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Lenzy’s memory to a charity of your choice that supports the dreams and aspirations of young athletes, continuing Lenzy’s passion for helping others achieve their potential. As we say goodbye to our beloved Lenzy, we hold close the cherished memories and the love they shared with us all. May their gentle soul rest in eternal peace.
