Born on January 6, 1939, in Ritter, South Carolina, Lelia lived a full life dedicated to her family and community. Lelia was the cherished daughter of the late James and Rosa Colleton. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Herbert Kelly, and their dear son, Timothy Kelly. Despite these losses, Lelia's spirit remained unbroken, and she continued to be the loving and supportive matriarch of her family. She is survived by her devoted son, Anthony Kelly, who carries forward her legacy with grace and strength. Lelia was the proud grandmother of Curtis and Arie Kelly as well as the great-grandmother to three wonderful great-grandchildren. Her family was the center of her world, and she delighted in every moment spent with them. Lelia dedicated 20 years of her professional life to United Parcel Service, where she was respected and admired by her colleagues until her well-deserved retirement. Outside of her career, Lelia's passions were woven into the fabric of her daily life. She had a natural talent for sewing, creating beautiful pieces with love and precision. Her baking was legendary among friends and family, each treat crafted with the warmth and care that defined her character. A celebration of Lelia's life will be held on October 3, 2026, at 11:00 AM, at Kelly's Estate, located at 675 May Bank Ln. Walterboro, SC 29488. This gathering will be a time for family and friends to come together, share memories, and honor the remarkable life she led. Lelia Colleton Kelly's legacy is one of love, kindness, and resilience.
