August 6, 1961 – April 27, 2026 It is with heavy hearts, yet profound gratitude for a life beautifully lived, that we announce the peaceful passing of Leilani Boski on April 27, 2026. Leilani departed this world surrounded by love, with unwavering faith in her heart, as she joined her Creator after a courageous journey. Born on August 6, 1961, in the vibrant city of Detroit, Michigan, Leilani was a beacon of warmth and strength to all who knew her. She was the cherished daughter of the late Martin and Bonita Boski, whose values of compassion, kindness, and community she carried forward throughout her life. Leilani's unwavering devotion to her family was the cornerstone of her existence. She is survived by her beloved children, Desiray and James, who, along with his wife Shonnie, were her pride and joy. Her legacy of love extends to her nine treasured grandchildren: Nathaniel, Ethan, Jaydyn, Kamrin, James Dugger III, Mason Dugger, Cheyenne Dugger, Noaa Dugger, and Mackenzie Dugger. Each of them holds a special place in her heart, as she did in theirs. Leilani was a cherished sister to Dawn Boski and her husband Richard, and to her brother Martin Boski and his wife Teresa. Her nieces, Monica and Brooke Boski, also held a dear place in her life, and she was a guiding light and loving aunt who inspired them with her wisdom and grace. A devout member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Parish, Leilani lived her faith through her actions and dedicated service to her community. Her role in the parish was not just one of participation, but of inspiration, as she continuously encouraged others to walk with love and faith. Leilani’s life will be celebrated at a service on May 27, 2026, at 9:00 AM, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Parish. It will be a time to honor her life, to share memories, and to find comfort in the lasting impact she had on all who knew her. As we gather to celebrate Leilani's life, let us remember her not with tears, but with the joy and warmth she brought into our lives. Her spirit will forever be imprinted in our hearts, and her legacy of love will continue to inspire us. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Leilani’s honor, reflecting her life of giving and compassion. Leilani Boski, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, will be deeply missed but forever remembered with love and gratitude. May she rest in eternal peace.
